CHINESE CUISINE

The company started at the same period where Singapore gained
independence, 1965.
Fishball noodles back in the days was a popular meal and many store
holders started it by selling it at the back of their trishaw.
Back then, there there aren’t any factory made fishball so they started selling it handmade using yellow-tail fish.

Name of food: Fishball Khin
Fishball noodles are like chicken rice.
You can never go wrong with unless the cook is really terrible.
However, Fishball Khin stands out among others, being one of the best reviewed in Singapore. Let’s start with the noodles first. I had the mee-tai- mak (mouse-tail noodles). Theirs were easy to eat and had the perfect bounce (consistency). I also tried the mee-pok which is the most popular choice of noodles nowadays and it was al-dente!

Next is the star of the dish and it is the fishball itself. It was really spot on. It had the right bounce and saltiness. It doesn’t taste really fishy either. In Fishball Khin they also add ngoh hiang which is a meat rolled up in tofu skin and tasted sweet and flavorful. Last but not least is the soup itself. Everyone knows that if the soup tastes good it has already won half the battle. And the soup I tasted? Woah it definitely won me over especially when its piping hot.

Wonderful experience overall and they also have other dishes which meets the mark.

It is $4 just about a dollar more than the regular ones you find at hawker centers. But personally I feel that for the quality it is very worth it.
