WESTERN CUISINE

The hawker centre that I went to is called Mr Teh Tarik. It is located at Blk 728, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5, #01-2771. Singapore 560608.
The food that I will be reviewing today is the Black Pepper Chicken from the westernfood stall named Rock ‘N’ Peri.

If you are a fan of western food (like Fish and Chips or Black Pepper Chicken), this place is ideal for your tastebuds!

More about this hawker centre and the stall itself:
Mr Teh Tarik hawker centre is opened 24 hours, but not the stall itself. The stall serves western cuisines like Pasta, Burgers, Fried Chicken, Fish, Mains (such as Steaks) and also Finger Foods. The price are also very reasonable for the size of the food and also the side dishes included. The stall is opened from 11:00am to 10:00pm daily.

How to get here:
By MRT: Alight at Ang Mo Kio station, cross over towards Centro Residences. Walk towards Djitsun Mall and turn left. (About 10-minutes’ walk from Ang Mo Kio station)

By Bus: 13, 86, 138, 162, 162M, 851, 852, 853 and 853C. Alight directly at Courts bus stop.

Here is what the Black Pepper Chicken looks like!

It is a reasonable serving for the price of $7. The taste of the soft and chewy chicken mixed with sauce makes the taste even better. The fries were well-fried too, not too oil nor is it too soggy. The coleslaw is similar to the ones sold in KFC. The coleslaw tastes very fresh and I can totally taste the mixture of the vegetables and mayonnaise. I would recommend this dish and shop as the price is very reasonable for a good serving of Black Pepper Chicken. Although the chicken is not as big as the chicken served in a more higher-class restaurant, it tastes very delicious and just having to pay $7 for a plate of Black Pepper Chicken, corn, coleslaw and fries. As compared to the western food that are located elsewhere, they exceed up to $15++ for a plate of Black Pepper Chicken with coleslaw and fries. Some may include corns, others may not.
