MALAY CUISINE

“If it tastes good, tell your friends! If it doesn’t, tell us!”

Now let me tell you how good the plate of Mee Rebus Power was.
Before that, let me share a little about the geniuses who came up with the recipe.

Located at Block 721 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8, Rahim Muslim Food (right beside the Jubilee Square) has been opened since the 1960s, passing down the recipes for two generations. The food place is easily accessible, 4 minutes work from Ang Mo Kio MRT Station.

Rahim Muslim Food is widely known for their special Mee Rebus Power.

The mouth-watering dish has been featured in the Straits times since 1996 and has won awards from various television shows such as Makansutra and Makan Boomz.

You can get a plate of Mee Rebus Power at $3. A typical Mee Rebus consists of yellow noodles served with a thick spicy potato-based gravy and garnished with a hard-boiled egg, spring onions, bean sprouts, fried shallots, fried beancurd and lime juice. What makes Rahim Muslim Food’s Mee Rebus Power, ‘power’, is the additional Satay Sauce poured over it. The Mee Rebus gravy is thick and rich in flavour and the Satay Sauce adds the nutty texture, making the dish nothing less than the best.
